Do you know I am so fed up of Blogger doing it's own thing with the spacing!!!

Tilda goes "down Under"

Hi everyone.

One or two little interesting things for you today.

First of all it is my husband's relatives birthday- today she is called Rene. I won't confuse you by telling you what relation she is - but she is 89 years old.
She is in a home and has dementia.

We went to visit her today and took one of my home made cards.

We weren't there an hour but in that time she had picked it up numerous times and said how lovely it was and the Tilda on the front was just like her and had I made it etc.

We had taken Rene a box of choccies and some flowers and we hadn't been there long when one of the women was trying to open the chocs - and couldn't - so she asked my husband if he would open them!

The woman in the next chair asked my husband if he knew a certain man and he said No so she told him to F*** off (more than once)

Felt quite shattered when I came out.

A more interesting thing is that I have been doing my family tree for years and recently contacted my cousin's son.

He visited us on the May Day Bank Holiday and it turns out that his sister is in the crafting business as well - but much more involved than I am.

I just could not believe it when I heard who she is - I am sure many of you will know her - her name is Liz Armstrong and here is a link to her blog - don't laugh at the photo!!

and Magnolia Down Under - which is your favourite things (I love this stamp)

A spoonful of sugar...

Sorry I am a bit late with this card - I did say I would be back yesterday but I had a headache and lots of other things to do so never got round to blogging.

Today's card is for the "A spoonful of sugar" challenge which is a sketch.

I have used my favourite colour combination and also my favourite Magnolia Stamp- well at least they are this week!!

The weather has really spoiled itself today - it has been pouring down this afternoon - and tomorrow we have our last rugby game of the season and it has forecast bad weather for that as well.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend and thank you for looking.

A stitch in Time.....

Good afternoon - at least the afternoon is going ok so far but I have had a big disappointment this morning............I received a parking fine.

In all my years of driving it is the first one I have ever had!

I have been for my pedicure this morning and parked in the usual car park and paid 60p for 2 hours parking (as usual) and when I got back to the car I had received one of those penalty thingies. I couldn't believe it because I was within my time limit.

I did notice, however, that the time on my ticket didn't seem to be just right so I checked on the charges board and the price had increased to 40p per hour so I had actually only paid for one hours parking instead of 2. I just did not think to look at the charges because I have been parking there for ages and didn't know they had gone up.

What a bummer!!!!

This weeks Magnolia Challenge is stitching so I have actually got my machine out and done a bit of stitching - nothing fancy!

So here is the card.

I have tried a different editing program for my photo today but it still looks a bit blur-y.

Has anyone any suggestions please??

Must going and tackle my pile of ironing now but will be back tomorrow with another card for you.

Thank you for looking.

Tilda with Pressie

Good Evening

It has been a lovely day today - it did start off a bit chilly this morning but when I was in the garden this afternoon it was really warm.

It's funny but I thought the photo of my card was quite alright until I have uploaded it and then it does not look so cracky - sorry about that - I can assure you it does look much better than it does on the photo.

I am entering this card in quite a few challenges.

First of all I have used one of the sketches from Sketch N Stash (you could choose any of the past sketches) and the new thing that I have used is my new Prima papers.

The other Challenges I am entering are:-

Papertake Challenge - Anything Goes

A Spoonful of Sugar - White + one colour (Red)

Just Magnolia - which was Buttons, Bows and Bling (all three or just one)

Crafts 4 Eternity - Anything Goes

Pear Tree Designs - Free for All

Thank you to anyone who has had a look at my blog and - if you get time - please leave a comment as I love to hear from you.

Too Late ....Again

Why oh why am I always too late.

I made this card a few days ago and then just didn't get chance to put the flowers and bow on!!!
Life has been so busy these last few days - but enjoyable.

Anyway I will show you the card that I have made for the Papertake Challenge - which was a sketch.

The card is similar in colour to my last one but I really like this colour combination.

Sorry that the photo does not seem to be very good.

thank you for looking - I will try to upload it and see if I am too late now for the Challenge

Tilda with Hat

Hi there
Are you all ready with your flags and bunting etc for tomorrow?

I have just managed to finish this card by the skin of my teeth.

It is for the Just Magnolia Challenge - which is the sketch below

I have tried out some Prisma Pencils that I bought from Diane - I will have to get some practice in with them.

Sorry to rush this but I have a deadline to meet.

thank you to anyone who takes the time to look at my blog and enjoy the day tomorrow.
