Cupcake Craft Challenge

Well our Kath should be back from Australia today - I am not sure what time. It doesn't seem like 3 weeks since she went! I am sure she will be eager to get back into her crafting room and start making some cards - that is is she has the energy after all the travelling about she has been doing over there.

Here is my card for the Cupcake Craft Challenge.

The papers are from the Eskimo Kisses range by Basic Grey and the stamp is from Funky Kits.
thank you for looking.

Crafts 4 Eternity Challenge

Ooh! I am dashing about today.
Started this card yesterday but then ran out of the deep red card and had to wait until I got some more today - luckily they had some in stock.
I am just rushing to put this on - I thought it had to be in by tomorrow but it is actually Sunday, I think - and then I have to do a bit of my big pile of ironing before making the tea.
Here is my card then for the Crafts 4 Eternity Challenge.

On the challenge it did say to use "buttons" but I have actually only used one.
The papers are digital ones, the stamp is a Gorjuss Girl one from Funky Kits, the ribbon is from Stampin Up and of course Prima flowers.
Hope you like the card and that you all have a lovely weekend.
We have got our first rugby match on Saturday so I will be doing the photos for that. I hope my camera works this time because when we had a friendly the other week my camera only lasted 20 minutes then went off. I think it was the batteries so I have bought some new rechargeable ones for it.

Sketch Saturday Challenge

Hi there, I hope you have all had a good weekend.

We had rugby on Saturday and on Sunday we went out for Sunday lunch with an older couple, Merv & June, who are distantly related to my husband. Merv's aunty came, who is 74, and sat across from me at the table. She had about 2 mouthfuls of her meal and then nearly choked. I thought my husband was going to have to do a Mrs. Doubtfire and do that crunch hug thing to dislodge it but he didn't. It did rather put me off my meal though!!

I don't know what has happened to me but I have tried making cards for various challenges and I just don't seem to be able to even pick paper that matches.
Anyway I had a go at the Sketch Saturday Challenge and here is my card.

I can't say that I am totally satisfied with it really but I am going to use it for my next door neighbour's birthday.
thank you for looking

Truly Scrumptious & Papertake Challenge

First of all - isn't it really sad news about Michael Jackson? We were watching a program about him and he was really good looking before he started with all the plastic surgery. I think it is very sad that he wanted to change himself when everyone liked him for who he was and how he looked. Like Elvis, it is so sad that such a talented person has died before he should have done really.

Sorry I have not done any blogging since Tuesday but I seem to have been really busy - but not got much done.
We haven't done any golfing this week, which is disappointing, but I have done a bit of walking.

I have just waved my son, Richard, off on his holidays - he has gone to Magaluf with a load of rugby lads - thank goodness I am not on the same plane as them. I am sure it will be an eventful flight for anyone who is!! They are going dressed as Santa's!!! He is nearly 26 but you never stop worrying about them do you? Especially as they will be spending most of their time boozing.

I have been making a Christening Card for my niece's little boy, Austin, who is getting Christened tomorrow, but it has been quite hard work and I am still looking for ideas to trim it up a bit. If it was for a girl you can put lots of flowers on can't you but it is different with a boy.

I have managed to make this card which I thought would do for the Truly Scrumptious Challenge and the Papertake Challenge at the same time.

The paper is a digital download and the stamp is from Funky Kits. The orange looking part of the flower was coloured to match the hat and blouse but it looks more orange on the photo than it really is.
Hope you like it and have a lovely weekend everyone.

Mojo Monday Challenge

Hi there.
First of all I want to thank everyone for leaving me such lovely comments. I know I keep saying it but it really does mean so much to me and I appreciate it so much. I would also like to thank the people who have decided to "Follow me" and I hope they are not disappointed.
Tomorrow will be the last time that I will be posting for just over a week because we fly to Crete in the early hours of Thursday morning (well it is early for me). I think we actually fly about 7.30am but will have to leave home about 4.30am, by which time our Richard should have landed back from Egypt. Of course we would have to have had all this rain just before we go away, when I am wanting to get my washing dry and my grass cut etc. I have never been anywhere in Greece or the Greek Islands before so if any of you have and want to let me know what it is like please leave me a comment - no horror stories though please!!
Below is my card for the Mojo Monday Challenge - when am I going to win one of these challenges????

I coloured the image using my new copic markers that I definitely wasn't going to buy. I love this paper, I have used it quite a lot. It is by My Mind's Eye.
I have used the same paper for the Sketch and Stash Challenge but with a Funky Kits stamp.

hope you like them - I will be back tomorrow with another card.

Papertake Challenge

I am feeling a bit achy today after walking into Brighouse and back yesterday - about 4 miles or more. It was OK going there because it is all downhill but walking back up with 2 bags of shopping was rather hard work and now my hip is aching!

I am hoping to get chance to do a few cards today and here is one that I did for the Papertake challenge this week.
The stamp is from Funky Kits and the designer paper is from a download from Nitwits. You probably can't tell but I have put the lilac card through the cuttlebug. I don't know if anyone else has the same problem but I do sometimes find that when I have embossed a piece of card and then stuck another card on the top of it, it doesn't always stick very well.

Have a nice day!
