Only just in time....again!

A very quick post today - just to show you my card for the Just Cute Bears Challenge.

Isn't it funny how you make some cards and you don't really like them when they are finished - with this one I absolutely love it.
I will certainly be using this for some of my personal Christmas cards.

I am so in love with little James the Bear - he's gorgeous isn't he?
Have to dash now - lots to do before rugby.
Enjoy your weekend

Sketch Saturday Challenge

Hi,
Just a very quick post today to show you the card I have made for the Sketch Saturday Challenge.

I printed off the sketch and thought it looked quite a good one to do so made my card but was a bit disappointed with it. I was even more disappointed when I went back to the website and looked at the sketch properly and discovered that I should have used two lots of paper for the background. What is the matter with me?? It must be the thought of Christmas coming up so fast.

Last year it took me forever to make my cards so I thought that this year I would start early - and have I? No!
The stamp is a new one that I have just got and I have used my new Martha Stewart Punch and threaded ribbon through it.
Hope you like it more than I do!!
Have a lovely weekend. We have rugby tomorrow and then I hope my hubby is taking me off on Sunday seeing as we have a day to ourselves.

Add a bit of Sparkle

I have just got back from shopping at Boots - taking advantage of the spend £50 and you get £12 of points on your card.
I have bought 2 lovely gifts which were 1/2 price. They are a set of drawers filled with Sanctuary products. I think they are well worth the money, but of course it was the set of drawers for keeping craft products in that took my eye first rather than the bath products inside them!!
I am well pleased with myself - I like a bargain.

Anyway here is my card for today.

Once again I have used a Lili of the Valley Stamp - I just love James the bear - especially with the cracker.
The papers are digital ones and I have coloured the image with Copics.
I have to say that I do like the turquoisey colours although my hubby prefers the traditional red and green.
Here is a close up of the Snowflakes - which are made using a Martha Stewart Punch and glittered with Glamour Dust. Then I have added a spacer and a brad.

I am entering this card in the following challenges
Friday Sketchers Challenge - which is the sketch I have followed.
The Crafty Pad Challenge - the theme of which is Christmas.
The ABC Challenge which is G for Glitter.
The Simon Says Challenge - which is Punches.
A Spoonful of Sugar - which again is Punches.
Thank you for looking - if I'm not back tomorrow, I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Three for the price of one

I originally made this card for the Sketch and Stash Challenge - which was the sketch that I followed. I then realized that the theme at Papertake Challenge is Sparkly & Bright and the Totally Gorjuss Challenge is Sparkle. I have put glitter on the hat and on the snow - so I thought that this card will do for all three challenges (I am just so lazy!!)

I am going to have to get cracking with my Christmas cards because I have just heard on the tele that it is only 8 weeks to Christmas - my husband was very shocked to hear that, I don't know why.
That is all for tonight.

Winter Fun ...

...that is the theme for this weeks Lili of The Valley Challenge.

Well I don't think anyone will be having much fun today - it has been an awful dull, dark, rainy day here.
I loved these papers when I saw them but once I got them home I wasn't too sure - but I have changed my mind again and I do like them. I think that is more than I can say for the photos today!! I keep messing about with my photo program but don't really know what I am doing.
The papers are by Graphic 45 which I got from Art from the Heart and I have used a LOTV die cut again.
I don't think I am right good with ribbons and bows really - I'm not too happy with this one but it is too late now.
That is all for today - thank you to anyone who has taken the time to have a peek at my blog.

A senile moment - again!!

Happy Monday everyone.
The weather today has been beautiful although the car was totally frozen up this morning.

Had a good time at The Dome yesterday and bought one or two things - a Martha Stewart Snowflake stamp, some ink pads, some DP and a few other bits and bobs. Afterwards we went shopping at The Lakeside and I bought a bun tray with square holes instead of round - can't wait to make Yorkshire Puddings in it to see what they look like!! Very sad - that's me!!

Back to cardmaking and here is my card for the Pear Tree Designs Challenge

which is to make a card for a celebration. Well that is what is said when I opened the Website. Unfortunately when I came to link up to the Challenge it said that it was closed - the challenge I had looked at was from September!!! I think it's time I went and had a rest. I might as well leave my card on though for you to have a look at.

I thought I would use this card which I made the other week (but hadn't put it on my blog ) for a friends Golden Wedding. It is very similar to one that I had made before but in silver.
I am feeling rather frustrated at the moment because I have been trying to put our Rugby Team on Facebook - anyway I think I have managed it at last. The photos took ages to upload.
Enjoy the rest of the evening.

Purple, Aqua & White....

.....these are the colours to be used for the Colour Create Challenge.

I had already stamped this little Milton bear
and started my card following a sketch from another challenge when I realized, as you do, that the image isn't one you can use on that challenge!!
So I adapted the layout and came up with this card.
The Snowflakes are from Marianne Dies and a Martha Stewart Punch and I have glittered them with Glamour Dust and added a brad and spacer.

The papers are downloads and I have coloured the image with copics.
It is a very miserable day here and I am just going to walk down to the rugby - but I doubt if I will get many photos if the rain keeps up.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend - I am looking forward to going to The Dome on Sunday - hope my hubby has some money for me to spend!!

By one - get one free

Hi
Today I have one card and two challenges - hence the title.
The first challenge is the Secret Crafter and it has a theme as the challenge - and that is ORENTAL - so I have used the Chinese Tilda.
The other challenge is the Papertake Weekly Challenge which is a sketch.

I have used so papers from Stampin Up that I have had for a while so I don't know if they are still available or not - but I thought they were quite oriental as well.

I have coloured the image with my Copics and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The sentiment is computer generated.

thank you for taking time to look and thank you to my new followers for deciding to follow my blog.

Thank you
luv

Colour Create Challenge

Well I watched the weather last night and they said it was going to be an beautiful day today - and they were right!! But what they didn't say that it was going to be freezing and I would have to scrape the ice off my car this morning.
Still I will be sat in the dining room this afternoon doing my husband's books and it will be really warm because the sun will be shining in there.
Now the more I look at Tilda the more I wonder if I have got it wrong. I have coloured it like she has a wing (the glittery bit) but nowadays they don't usually have wings - which I am glad about because I did not like that bit. But that is what it looked like on the stamp and I am wondering if it was all part of her hair - if you follow me!!
I know that I am last minute again but the card is for The Colour Create Challenge which will end tomorrow and the Challenge is PINK, GREEN AND CREAM - which I have used on this card.

I can't say that I am over keen on the card really, I don't know why.
Have to dash now - I am going to have my lunch and I am starving.

Late Again!!

Just a quick post - I am last minute again!! I just had to show you this card for the
Creative Inspirations Challenge because I really like it - it isn't often that I do.

The Challenge was the sketch below

and here is my card...

I love the colours but my husband prefers the Red and Green.

Thank you to all the people who have left me comments - it is very much appreciated.

Tilda meets Ribbon Girl

Santa's little helper! That is the stamp that I have used for today's card and I have coloured her with Copics.
Here is the full card.

I have used the sketch by Dawny P for this week's Just Magnolia Challenge

and combined it with the theme from The Ribbon Girl Challenge, which was to use Red and Green.
The papers are my new Christmas ones from Stampin Up which I got from Julie last week and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, as usual.

thank you for looking

Lili of the Valley Challenge

Happy Monday Morning everyone - hope you have all had a good weekend.
Our Rugby team actually had a win this week - for a change!!

The Challenge over at Lili of the Valley this week was a lovely sketch from the very talented Bev.
I haven't used a die cut this time I have used the rubber stamp - James with Presents, it is such a good one to colour.
the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts
and here is the card
The papers are last years from Stampin Up.
Sorry about all the spacing - I have been messing about with Photoshop but still can't get everything as I want it.

Papertake Weekly Challenge and ABC Challenge

Tilda with Christmas Tree...

This weeks Papertake Challenge is "3 of something".
Fortunately I had "one I made earlier" that I could use for this challenge. It has 3 different Magnolia papers on it - I bought them last year and really like them but don't seem to be able to get hold of them this year.
The Challenge at ABC Challenge is to use lots of flowers - so here they are....

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I usually glitter them but didn't bother this time.
And here is the full card......
The lace is some that I got from our local branch of Boyes and I have coloured the image with Copic Markers.

I have just been to visit my mother's cousin this morning - she is 78 today and I just can't believe her.

For one thing she has been in the Red Cross for 50 years and still goes on duty for them sometimes at special events where she has to be up really early in the morning.
She has recently lost two stones in weight not only by dieting but by going to the gym!!
She also wanted me to have a look at her laptop (yes she can work the computer as well) and she has just bought a digital camera that does movies - ready for when she goes to Prague next March. She is going there with her nephew to show him where her brother got killed during the war.

One of her favourite things is playing on her Nintendo DS, and she has a mobile phone - all this at 78 years old, isn't that brilliant??
That's all for today, thank you for looking.

At Last....

....I have managed to get hold of one of those illusive Hanglar stamps that everyone seems to use but aren't available to buy anywhere in this country.
And here she is ...

I found a Challenge blog called Lovely Hanglar only and the challenge was SEASONS. I thought seeing as she looks dressed up for the WINTER that I would use this stamp.
Unfortunately as I loaded these photos I noticed that I have not done a very good job of the shading below her feet - it is a bit lopsided - I have now rectified that but was too lazy to take and edit more photos!!!

I have combined it with the sketch from Truly Scrumptious so I am entering it in that challenge as well.

Here is the sketch

and another photo of the card.

The papers are from Pink Petticoat as is the Sentiment and I have coloured the image with Copics.
Have a nice day!
