Papertake Weekly Challenge.

Well it is nearly the weekend - perhaps we might manage a game of rugby tomorrow. It has been called off that many times since before Christmas that I think we have only had about one game in two months.

I'm back again with another card but using the same papers from Stampin Up as the last card - I love them!!

This is the sketch for the Papertake Weekly Challenge

and here is my card.

sorry if the photo looks a bit dark - perhaps someone could recommend a tutorial for the photographs. I notice some blogs seem to have really good photos.
That's all for now.
Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Austin's Birthday

Hi everyone I hope you are all enjoying the snow!!
I don't mind the snow it is the cold that I am not so keen on but I am not complaining - what do you mean, for a change!!

On Sunday it will be my great nephew's birthday - he will be 2. He is so absolutely gorgeous - a mixture of angel and devil. He seems to get into all sorts of mischief but he has such a sweet and cheeky smile that I am sure his mum will find it hard to be cross with him.

I have used the Papertake Weekly Challenge sketch for Austin's card

but I have used a Lili of the Valley stamp so I thought I would enter it in both challenges.

The Challenge on LOTV is "A few of my favourite things" so for this card my list of fave things would be

1. The Stampin Up paper that I have used - I absolutely love this pack of blues
2. I love presents - not that I get many
3. Lili of the Valley Stamps - they are so cute
4. Last but not least - one of my favourite things (or people) is Austin.

So there you go - just a very few of my favourite things.
A big thank you to my two new followers for joining me and of course thank you to everyone who follows me and leaves comments.

thank you and have a good weekend.

PS - What a drip I am!! I forgot to put the card on this post so have had to edit it!!

By one - get one free

Hi
Today I have one card and two challenges - hence the title.
The first challenge is the Secret Crafter and it has a theme as the challenge - and that is ORENTAL - so I have used the Chinese Tilda.
The other challenge is the Papertake Weekly Challenge which is a sketch.

I have used so papers from Stampin Up that I have had for a while so I don't know if they are still available or not - but I thought they were quite oriental as well.

I have coloured the image with my Copics and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The sentiment is computer generated.

thank you for taking time to look and thank you to my new followers for deciding to follow my blog.

Thank you

Tilda meets Ribbon Girl

Santa's little helper! That is the stamp that I have used for today's card and I have coloured her with Copics.
Here is the full card.

I have used the sketch by Dawny P for this week's Just Magnolia Challenge

and combined it with the theme from The Ribbon Girl Challenge, which was to use Red and Green.
The papers are my new Christmas ones from Stampin Up which I got from Julie last week and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, as usual.

thank you for looking

Two More Challenges

Just a very quick post to show you the card below which I started to make for the
Stamp with Fun Challenge - which was stripes - so I have used a bit of stripey paper.

I then thought I would combine it with Saturday's Penny Black Challenge which was flowers.
The DP has flowers on it and the image has a flower and I have put some roses on - so it has plenty of flowers.

The Papers are from Stampin Up and the flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.
The image is, of course, Penny Black. Penny Black were my very first favourite stamps - they are so cute, and I love cute!!
have to dash.
thank you for looking

Friday Sketchers Challenge

Well this is my final card before I go off on holiday - that is, volcano permitting. I keep hearing that some flights have been cancelled and, looking at Manchester Airport tonight, the flights to Munich are all cancelled - but hopefully we will be flying!!

Here is my card for the Friday Sketchers Challenge.

Sorry if the picture is not too good but I had to take it in my room tonight and the light is not too brilliant.
Another cute little bear from Lili of the Valley.
Hopefully this will be me this week with my glass of sangria and my crossword book, soaking up the sun but hopefully not getting burnt this time!
The papers and the card are from Stampin Up, the designer paper is Bella Bleu.
It wasn't until after I had finished it and looked at it properly that I thought I should have used Cream Cardstock and stamped onto cream card. But it is too late now!
Hope you like the card and I will be back in a weeks time.

Julies Open House

Hi Everyone,
At last I have managed to find time to surf the internet.

Last Friday me and "our Kath" went over to Julies and had a lovely time.
We met Sharon, who looked very familiar but I don't know where I know her from.
Thanks Sharon for visiting my blog - I have had a quick shufty at yours but will have a proper look later this week.
I went back to our Kath's afterwards and stayed there as long as I could because my husband had said he was coming home to do some plastering. When I finally went home he had been doing preparation and had only just started mixing his first lot of plaster (at 3.30pm) so then I had to start and clean the bucket and mix more plaster and clean the bucket and mix more plaster etc. etc. I was really not in the mood for it after having a nice time at Julies.

Anyway this is the card that we made at Julies and I really love these Bella Bleu papers (don't know if I have spelt it correctly)

I don't think the photo does it justice but I have only just taken the photo tonight. Back again in a few minutes with another card.

Stamp with Fun Challenge

Good Evening everyone and Hi to our Kath if she is tuning in from Australia, I hope you are having a brilliant time.

We have been over to Skipton today to Embsay Crafts where they had people demonstrating different things in the Village Hall. It was very busy but I can't say that I bought anything much. This is just a quick post because we have been out since about 10.30 this morning. We called at Keighley Tarn and stopped to eat our sandwiches there. There were loads and loads of ducks, seagull type birds and different species of water fowl and a few geese and a couple of swans. David gave them some of the bread from his sandwich and we gave them a packet of cheese and onion crisps, which they actually ate.
We bought some bread in Skipton and called back there on our way home and it was like the feeding of the five thousand - the bread didn't seem to go anywhere.
We called at various places on the way home and had our tea out and we have just got back.
After all that I have made it quite a long post now!!
So here is my card for the Stamp with Fun Challenge.

thanks for looking.

The Sugar Bowl Challenge

On Sunday I was in the middle of making two cards for challenges when a neighbour came round and asked if I could make a card for her "Auntie Carol, who is 65 and likes Crown Green Bowling"!!!! I don't know about you but I hate it when people ask me for something like that. I think it is really stressful.
I am trying out a card but it won't have anything to do with Crown Green Bowling on it.

Anyway I have finished my card for the Sugar Bowl Challenge - and here it is.

Hope you like it!
Must dash - we are going out for tea to a friend's house - they are making pie and peas which, unfortunately, will not go down very well with my diet!!

Sketch and Stash Challenge

Oooh! Back again already - I am doing well aren't I? Especially as I have been in the garden most of the day.
I have made this card for the Sketch and Stash Challenge and I cannot honestly say that the stamp I have used is totally brand new but I have only used it once before (I think).
The paper is from Stampin Up and I used Copics for the colouring.

Hope you like it and thank you for looking.
I will crack on now and do some more.
