Three for the price of one

I originally made this card for the Sketch and Stash Challenge - which was the sketch that I followed. I then realized that the theme at Papertake Challenge is Sparkly & Bright and the Totally Gorjuss Challenge is Sparkle. I have put glitter on the hat and on the snow - so I thought that this card will do for all three challenges (I am just so lazy!!)

I am going to have to get cracking with my Christmas cards because I have just heard on the tele that it is only 8 weeks to Christmas - my husband was very shocked to hear that, I don't know why.
That is all for tonight.

Winter Fun ...

...that is the theme for this weeks Lili of The Valley Challenge.

Well I don't think anyone will be having much fun today - it has been an awful dull, dark, rainy day here.
I loved these papers when I saw them but once I got them home I wasn't too sure - but I have changed my mind again and I do like them. I think that is more than I can say for the photos today!! I keep messing about with my photo program but don't really know what I am doing.
The papers are by Graphic 45 which I got from Art from the Heart and I have used a LOTV die cut again.
I don't think I am right good with ribbons and bows really - I'm not too happy with this one but it is too late now.
That is all for today - thank you to anyone who has taken the time to have a peek at my blog.

Lili of the Valley Challenge

Can you believe the amount of rain that we have been having - it absolutely bounced down today but then at tea time it was quite nice.

Tomorrow my son, daughter in law and granddaughter are coming up to have some professional photos taken - not by me obviously!!
Just thought I would show you the card I have done for this week's Lili of the Valley challenge - although I don't think I have just got all the sketch in - but I thought I would still enter it.

thank you for looking

Papertake Weekly Challenge.

Well today is a much better day than it was yesterday - weatherwise.
Unfortunately I am still feeling a bit under the weather. I was rough on Wednesday and then seemed to pick up but not so good today and not in the mood for cardmaking - although I will have to do some soon because it is our Wedding Anniversary on Tuesday and my daughter-in-law's birthday on Thursday.

I had hoped that, seeing as there isn't any rugby today, we might have gone off somewhere in search of a craft shop but my husband had to work till after lunch. Now he is watching the golf and then the rugby final.
I think it is going to be a long day!!

Anyway here is my card for the Papertake Challenge.

I think some of the papers are by Bo Bunny and the one with the holly on is one I got last year from The Hobby House.
I have used one of the fabulous die cuts from Lili of the Valley - they are brill for cutting down on the time spent colouring.
Enjoy your weekend

Lili of the Valley Challenge

Well can you believe it?
My flipping computer is on the blink again. It hasn't just been right since I got it back but the last few days I have
had trouble starting it so I have had to take it back to the shop again this afternoon.
I am lost without it but luckily I have my laptop - although I don't like it as much as my computer.
I have uploaded this image using Picasa so I hope everything is ok with it.
I bought these die cuts at Harrogate and thought it would be much easier to use these for making Christmas cards this year.
I love these images but I do find them very hard to match up to papers because whatever blue I try it just doesn't seem to be the right shade.
Anyway at last I have managed to get something that looks half decent and so here is my card for this weeks Lili of the Valley Challenge - which was untraditional Christmas.

On Sunday my son went to Warrington to watch the two rugby finals and the Halifax game was unbelievable - coming back from 22-4 to win the game - we watched it on the tele.
Unfortunately when my son made his way back to the coach he came across a friend of his, who he plays football with, lying in a pool of blood. Apparently he had been beaten up by 12 Featherstone fans and he is now in hospital fighting for his life. I just cannot understand how people can do that to someone - apparently they had been stamping on his head. How sick are they?
I am sure you will all join with me in hoping and praying that he does make a recovery.

Well I hope this posts ok and I certainly hope I don't have to go nearly a week without my computer like last time.

Lili of the Valley Challenge

Well at last I have actually got round to making a card and it fits in with the Lili of the Valley Challenge. I have made it for my husband's Grandson's birthday on Friday. Here is the card

it doesn't seem such a good photo really - I don't know why.
And here is a gift card I made to match it - just a pity I haven't bought him a gift!!! Only joking.
It actually looks much bigger than it is - I used the smallest die cut for it.

I really cannot believe what a numptie I am. I have made a few cards for birthdays in August and for a wedding last Saturday and I have either forgotten to take a photo of them or I have taken a photo and deleted it off my camera before I have put it on the computer. I can't believe how stupid I am!!

I have now got my computer back - it had to have a new hard drive. I am very pleased that they have managed to save all my files and folders but I am so very disappointed that I have not only lost all my email addresses but I have also lost all my "Favourites" from the Internet. That means that I have lost everyone's blogs and all the tutorials that I had stored links to. Oh woe is me!!!
I will be back tomorrow to show you the card I did for my son's birthday. I can take a photo of that because I have saved it!!.

A Threesome!

Now don't be rude, it is not what you are thinking!!!

I have made a card using the sketch at Sketch Saturday and once again using one of the Lili of the Valley Die Cuts (it saves on colouring). I noticed over at Totally Paper Crafts that the Challenge was an easel card with a male theme so I thought this card would do for that as well.
At Hidden Treasures there has to be a ribbon on your card, which I have used on the base and on the middle of the card, so this card qualifies for all three challenges - that is what I mean by a Threesome!
The DP is some that I have had for ages and I am not sure what it is.
The silver thingies are from Craftwork Cards and I have used a Martha Stewart Deep Border punch.

What a hot day it has been today - at least I have got all my washing dry and just need to iron it, my favourite job!!!
Tonight it took me nearly an hour to water the garden and the hanging baskets.
I am going to have a sit down and a pot of coffee now.

Simon Says and Cupcake Challenge

I have had a very busy few days.

First of all I was gardening on Saturday and fell coming out of the greenhouse so I have two very sore knees!

On Sunday I met my daughter and we went to Stamp Magic at Doncaster. We usually like to take our time and have a good look round but we were stuck in traffic for half an hour getting there and we wanted to be back for the football - well that was a waste of time wasn't it??

Yesterday my daughter and grand-daughter came up and we went to visit Claire's grandad in hospital, but he is not very good. After school my niece came with her two children so they were all playing out in the garden, which was nice.

Today I am feeling absolutely shattered and in much need of a rest.
Anyway enough waffling here is my card for the Simon Says Challenge, which is Friends, and also for the Cupcake Challenge which is a sketch.

Once again I have used a die cut from Lili of the Valley (who were at the show at Donnie) and the DP is some that I have had for absolutely ages.
Thank you for taking the time to look - if you like what you see, please leave a comment.
