Hi Everyone,
Just a very quick post to say that yesterday I received the best Christmas present.
I went for my 6 month check up and everything is still OK so I am so very happy. The doctor did ask if I wanted to make it 12 months now for my check ups but I really feel happier going every 6 months so I don't go back now till June.
I also want to wish everyone a really Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year - especially to my followers and to everyone who has left me a comment throughout the year.
I hope you all have a really fantastic Christmas.

Comments

Hi,
Just a quick post because a few people have mentioned to me how disappointed they are when they enter a challenge and nobody from the challenge leaves a comment on their blog.
Does anyone else feel the same?
I have to say that I have found the same with a few of the Challenges I have entered as well.
Other bloggers have said to me that they think if the people running the Challenges haven't the time to look at the cards entered in the Challenges then perhaps they shouldn't be running them.
Do you agree or disagree?
It is a little bit dishearting when you go to the trouble of making a card and no-one comments on it, don't you think?
So come on all you people running the Challenges - have your say as well.

Austin's Birthday

Hi everyone I hope you are all enjoying the snow!!
I don't mind the snow it is the cold that I am not so keen on but I am not complaining - what do you mean, for a change!!

On Sunday it will be my great nephew's birthday - he will be 2. He is so absolutely gorgeous - a mixture of angel and devil. He seems to get into all sorts of mischief but he has such a sweet and cheeky smile that I am sure his mum will find it hard to be cross with him.

I have used the Papertake Weekly Challenge sketch for Austin's card

but I have used a Lili of the Valley stamp so I thought I would enter it in both challenges.

The Challenge on LOTV is "A few of my favourite things" so for this card my list of fave things would be

1. The Stampin Up paper that I have used - I absolutely love this pack of blues
2. I love presents - not that I get many
3. Lili of the Valley Stamps - they are so cute
4. Last but not least - one of my favourite things (or people) is Austin.

So there you go - just a very few of my favourite things.
A big thank you to my two new followers for joining me and of course thank you to everyone who follows me and leaves comments.

thank you and have a good weekend.

PS - What a drip I am!! I forgot to put the card on this post so have had to edit it!!

Free Deliver???

When is Free Delivery not Free Delivery.

I thought I would just let you all know that I recently ordered something from
Once Upon a Stamp who I have dealt with numerous times before.
Between ordering it and me receiving delivery of it, it went down in price by £10.
I was really miffed at this and emailed them to ask why. Their answer was that because Royal Mail was so expensive they had done a deal with a different carrier.
Just hang on a minute if it is "Free Delivery" surely that does not come in to it.
I should have been paying the price of the item and getting the delivery FREE - isn't that what Free Delivery is??
No they must have added the cost of the delivery onto the item - but I would have thought that the price should have been "Including Delivery".
After several emails backwards and forwards, I have not had any joy with them so they will now lose my custom - I am so annoyed I can tell you!!!
Anyway enjoy the snow everyone - we have loads of it.
