Just Cute Bears Challenge

Just another quickie post - I am having a quick break from making Wedding Invitations.
Here is my card for the Just Cute Bears Challenge.
I love this little teddy bear - and the colour combo.
Teddy, of course, is from Lili of the Valley (I have used him before) who have such cute stamps - I think I must have most of them.

Speaking of Teddies - I bought myself a little Irish Teddy whilst we were over there on holiday, he is cute as well. Well I suppose I had better get back to the invites. Thank you for looking

Whiff of Joy Challenge

What a night I have had!!
I have had a lovely day today - I have spent all of it working in the garden and the weather has been just beautiful.
Tonight I thought I would put this card on for the Whiff of Joy Challenge.

I could not understand why all the photos in my Blog folder had lost the names of the photos, yet all my other folders were ok.
I have spent hours messing about with it and eventually I opened a new folder and moved the photos into that and it worked!! Technology - I love it but it drives me mad.

My daughter Claire, her husband Steve, and their daughter Florence are enjoying an extended holiday in Ibiza. They should have flown back last Saturday but it will hopefully now be this coming Saturday. I know Florence will be absolutely loving it.
I have just checked my emails and I cannot believe the photo of my grand nephew that my
sister, Kath, has sent me headed "Guess who's done 10 rounds with Mike Tyson". Austin is only about 15 months old, and he has one eye nearly shut and his face a mess (but he's still smiling) Apparently some bricks have fallen onto him from the top of the garage!!
I will get the full tale tomorrow.

Back to the card and here it is.

Hope you like it

Whiff of Joy Challenge

Back again - but only a quick post.
I started this card last week but have just not had the chance to finish it until today - I always seem to be last minute.
David finished the plastering on Saturday and I thought I would be getting round to papering by the end of this week - but nothing seems to have gone right and there seems to have been so much more to do that what I thought.
Because he slarted the plaster on the skirting boards I have had to spent ages preparing them and I now won't get round to undercoating until Thursday. We are going on holiday soon so I was hoping to have the decorating finished before then.
Anyway here is my card for the Whiff of Joy Challenge.

Hope you like it!! love eileen x

Create4Fun Challenge

What a horrid day today.
I didn't get much sleep last night because my husband snores so loud that I am sure you can all hear him!!

I went for a walk this morning and it started raining. I was going to go out but then I couldn't be bothered.
Anyway I have been creative and made a card for the Create4Fun Challenge, which was a sketch.

I was rather pleased with the card till I realized that I had ommited to put a strip at the bottom, so I had to stick some ribbon on - but then I wasn't sure just where to put the bow. Anyway it doesn't look too bad does it?

Me and our Kath are off over to Julies Stampin Up open day tomorrow, so I am really looking forward to that. See you soon, Julie.
that's all for today,
back soon.

Just Magnolia Challenge

Hi Everyone,
My next door neighbour works at the fire station and she says that they were all sent an email today saying that there was a severe weather warning for 12 o'clock tonight - so we will see whether or not we wake up to snow tomorrow morning.

I have been at my sister's today trying to help her to set up a blog - I don't think she has written anything much on it yet but I will give you the link and perhaps you might like to keep checking back.
It is called Plain & Simple

Here is my entry for the Just Magnolia Challenge - I must say there are some gorgeous cards on there.

That is all for tonight.
Thank you for looking

Just Magnolia Challenge

Hi Everyone - I hope you all had a lovely Valentine's Day yesterday and that your hubbies treated you well.
My husband did manage to buy me a card and a bunch of flowers but he usually writes me a little verse in the card and he "hasn't had time" to write one. Don't quite know what to make of that excuse.
Anyway I did take time out of my "busy doing nothing" schedule to make him a card which I was quite pleased with and I also made him a verse to go inside it.

I decided that the card would fit into the Just Magnolia Challenge which has the theme "LOVE"
so here is the card.

The flowers actually look a bit darker than they are but I didn't want to do them the same colour as the dress.
The papers are downloads and I have used the Martha Stewart Heart Border Punch and coloured the Magnolia Images with Copic Markers.
Thank you for looking - check back tomorrow because I will have something else to show you that I did for Valentine's Day as well.

Friday Sketches meets Magnolia

Just a quick post.
Today has been a lovely but very tiring day - my daughter, Claire, has been up from Retford with my grandaughter, Florence who is so gorgeous I could eat her!!

By the time they left I was very tired and had headache, so I don't know how Claire went on because she had drove up here and had to drive back again.

Anyway here is a card that I have made.

I have used the Friday Sketchers sketch and the theme from the Magnolia Challenge, which is hearts and flowers.
I hope you like the card - if so please leave me a comment or perhaps you might like to become a follower! I am always delighted to receive your comments. Thank you.
