Tilda with Hat

Hi there

I have just managed to finish this card by the skin of my teeth.

It is for the Just Magnolia Challenge - which is the sketch below

I have tried out some Prisma Pencils that I bought from Diane - I will have to get some practice in with them.

Sorry to rush this but I have a deadline to meet.

New Pets??

I am so excited tonight that I just had to share these photos with you.

I was crafting in my room tonight when I heard a loud bang and thought that some kids had thrown something at the window.

I looked out but could not see anything so I went outside - and there on the floor was and OWL - which actually looked dead.

My husband came out and picked it up and it was still breathing so he brought it inside and warmed it in his hot hands until it suddenly moved and opened it's eyes.

He put it outside and after about 15 minutes it was still just sat there so I went in the loft to get a box to put it in overnight and when I came back down it had just flown off.

I am so glad that it could still fly but disappointed to have missed seeing it.

It was gorgeous.

The other two photos are taken where my husband has his lock-up.

This Heron is a frequent visitor.

Last Saturday we were driving home from a Reunion when something ran across the road straight in front of us. It looked like a big dog but when it got to the other side I saw that it was a DEER.

Sketch & Stash Challenge

Hmm! Something funny is happening with blogger - again!!

It did not send me an email to say that there had been some comments left on my last post. This blogger has a mind of it's own doesn't it???
Never mind.

I would like to thank everyone who leaves me comments and I am going to make a big effort to leave them on other peoples blogs.

I went to the Stampin Up party last night and really enjoyed it - I couldn't get over all the gorgeous looking baking that Ann had done. I could have sampled it all but I am always having to watch what I eat so just had a tiny bit!

the paper I have used is some that I have had quite a while and it is from Stampin Up. I liked it so much that I didn't want to use it - you know what I mean don't you???

I think the purple card is Elegant Eggplant from Stampin Up as well.

The corners are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I didn't bother putting any flowers on because I thought this card would just be ok for sending throught the post so I left it as it was.

Peach & Green

Good Evening everyone.

Well my husband was working away yesterday, today and tomorrow so I thought brilliant I will get my jobs done on Tuesday and spend the rest of the time crafting.

I have just managed to make one card!!

The weather has been so nice that yesterday I went a walk and then in the afternoon went in the garden and I have been in the garden again today - you just have to take advantage when the weather is good, don't you??

Tonight I have been outside sawing some wood to make a little herb planter - if it turns out right of course!

This week's LOTV Challenge is Peach and Green so I managed to find some Stampin Up paper that matches that.

Here is my card...

I have used one of the new die cuts from LOTV - there are some really nice ones.

To anyone going to Ally Pally this weekend - I am dead jealous!!!

I would love to go - I would especially love some of those miniature Magnolia Stamps. I thought they were coming out in April but I have not seen any about yet.

Back Again

Just a quick post to let you know that we are now back from our holidays and we have had a really lovely time - despite the start to it.

First of all the airport taxi man turned up at 6am to pick us up - unfortunately he was a day early!!!

By the time we had checked in at the airport it did not leave us much time to look round the airport and for me that is part of the holiday.

We had some breakfast and I left my husband having another cuppa whilst I went to buy some pop etc for the plane. Next minute I hear a call over the tannoy - Final call for passengers Beaumont (and 2 other people). I was in a right panic!!

My husband is the most elusive person ever and of course I could not find him anywhere so I ended up making my way to the gate which of course was at the opposite end of the airport. I had to run because they gave out another final call but when I got there David was not there so they had to put out another call for him

I was so embarrassed!!

Then when we arrived at the complex in Tenerife they said that we had not paid our maintenance for the timeshare so we could not check in. I had to go down to the office and eventually she found that I was right (aren't I always???) and it had been paid in February.

Apart from all that we had a lovely time and once I get myself sorted out with the washing, ironing, cooking and cleaning perhaps I might get chance to play with some of the things I bought at Harrogate.

Hope I haven't bored you all to death.
