Can someone please HELP??

Can anyone tell me please why, when I publish my post, the spacing isn't how I typed it.
The spaces I leave between paragraphs seem to disappear - I don't know why. Even if I go back and edit it the spacing does not go how I want it.
Thank you

Four Challenges - One Card!

I would like to thank all of you who wished me well with the poker but unfortunately I did not win the semi-final I got through to yesterday.
We have still got one to come tonight which my husband will play instead of me (I hate to say it but he is much better than me. Reckless but a better player)
I have been in the garden again all morning so have just managed to finish this card this afternoon.

I have used the sketch for the Papertake Challenge.
I have used an Oval for the ABC Challenge.
Cupcake Crafts Challenge was to feature Cake and/or Ice Cream
and finally Simon Says Challenge was to use Coffee & Cream.
I think my card qualifies for all these challenges.
Whilst I was in the garden I was talking to my neighbour across and in May she is going to meet up with her daughter in Japan and then to visit a friend in Thailand and then on to Australia to meet some relatives.
I then saw the man next door and it was his 70th Birthday last Friday and he and his wife have just come back from a week in New York to celebrate it.
Can't wait for my 60th now to see where I will be going. Probably a day out to a Craft Shop!!
Have a nice evening all.

Oh My Goodness

I am sorry but this is going to have to be a quick post.

A few years ago when I was ill and all I could do was watch tele and read, I had a few games of poker on Sky Poker. I have never played again since then until Monday when I had a game in a qualifying competition and got through into the next round. My husband played that and he got through into the final which will be on tele on Thursday.

I thought I would just have another go again today in another competition and I am through to another round which is on at 5pm so I will have to rush now.

Anyway the challenge on Lili of the Valley was My Favourite Colours.

A few weeks ago I started this little project and these are definitely some of my favourite papers and colours so I thought today that I had better get it finished so I can enter it in the Challenge.

Here it is - this is the front of the card.

and then it turns into an easel card on the top of a drawer

and this is the drawer opened up containing some jotting paper

I am sorry the photos are not so good but I hope you can see it ok.
thank you for looking and please keep the comments coming - it really makes my day!

One I made earlier

Hi everyone

A week or two ago I started making a card, coloured the image etc. and got it all but put together - and then never got round to finishing it! Do you ever do that?
I used my new Martha Stewart heart punch which actually had a bigger scallop than I thought it was going to have. I thought it was going to be like the Doily punch but with hearts.

Anyway this week I thought I had better frame myself and make a card so I looked through some of the challenge blogs and thought that the Sketch and Stash sketch would just fit my card nicely - I just had to stick a bit of ribbon on and the flowers and that was that.

So here is the sketch

and here is my card

I have used DCWV Linen Closet papers which I have had for a while now and I bought them from the Range. I just stamped a little swirl on the plain coloured one.

The sentiment is from Stampin Up and of course the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
Thank you for looking.

Technology!!

Sometimes I hate it, sometimes I love it.
This week I hate it.
I have had an horrendous few days with my printer.
To cut a long story short, my printer has ceased to work - I think because I used some cheap cartridges on it - and I have spent ages trying to get it to work and then looking on line for advice on getting a new one.
I had a Canon which I was very satisfield with but last night we went to get a new one and I came away with a Kodak, mainly because it was cheaper for cartridges.
I have spent all day today messing with the Kodak and then trying to get my old printer to work.
I hated the Kodak - it was so noisy and vibrated the whole of my desk. And most important of all the quality of the printing was not good enough.
Sooo tonight I have taken it back and got another Canon. I have spent all evening setting that up and I am quite happy with it (for the moment anyway!!).
I am now going to sit down with a well earned cup of coffee and chill!
Thank you for listening to me moaning and hopefully I will get chance to make some cards soon.

Challenging!!!

Hi

It is not such a nice day today here in Yorkshire, it keeps raining and is really quite cold - I have just turned the heating up a bit!

I have a card for you today that is a little bit different.
I saw the idea over on Monica's blog and thought I would have to have a go at it.
It is a twisted easel card.

Being a bit senile as I am, I ended up sticking it on the wrong way round and had to prize it off again as I had already made the maid part of the card ready to stick on to the easel bit - if you follow me!

Unfortunately I then ran out of ink on my printer and haven't been able to get to the shop for another so, being in a rush to enter my card in the Just Magnolia Challenge, I have photographed it as it is without sticking the sentiment part onto the bottom half of the card - this is getting quite hard to explain but I am sure you will understand.

Here is the Just Magnolia Sketch

and here is the main bit of my card

and this is the rest of it...

I know it does not look anything special just left like that but at least you get the gist of what it is supposed to look like.
I think I need a cuppa now!!!
Thank you for looking.

LOTV Sketch

Just a very quick post today as we are going out when my husband gets back so I have to be ready and waiting.
Here is this weeks sketch from Lili of the Valley

and here is my interpretation of the sketch.

The papers are from Stampin Up and I have used a LOTV Die Cut.

The sentiment is computer generated and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Thank you to everyone who has left comments recently - especially my regular followers.

Enjoy your weekend.

Happy Valentines Day

Sorry I am a bit erratic with my posting but to be honest I was I little bit put off from entering any more challenges because the people hosting the challenges just don't seem to bother leaving a comment - which is rather disheartening when you go to so much trouble to make a card. I do appreciate that they too are very busy but perhaps they should get others to help with running the challenge if they cannot manage it themselves.

Anyway I had to make a Valentine Card for my husband so I have managed to fit it in with a few different Challenges.
Here is my card

and I am entering it in the following Challenges -
Sundays Craft Pad Challenge - Love is in the Air
Tuesdays Creative Card Crew - For a Loved one
Thank you for looking and have a lovely weekend.
