Hi there. Another quick post to say that I am back again from my holidays - if you can call it that.
We did not have to get up at 4am the next morning but we were left waiting until the afternoon to find out that we would not be going to Madeira.
After discussing where to go instead, my husband decided on getting the ferry over to Ireland - which I was not at all happy about doing because I thought I would be sea sick.
We had to leave home at 5.30am the next day to catch the 10am ferry from Holyhead to Dun Laoghaire. We arrived at our hotel in Dublin at 2.30pm. We both took travel sickness tablets and survived the ferry (both ways).
We spent a night at Dublin and then drove to Galway and had two nights there - driving down the coast to see the river Shannon during the day.
On Saturday we went through Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford to reach Wexford where we stayed overnight before travelling back for the ferry the next day.
It has been a very tiring holiday because all we seem to have done is travel around.
I really love Irish Music and my husband loves his Guiness but we were both very disappointed. I never found these pubs that everyone tells me about that have Irish Music and David never found the fabulous pint of Guiness that everyone tells him he must try. The ones he had were just the same as what he drinks over here.
I think we have finished with holidays now until the end of the year so I must knuckle down to doing some cardmaking.
Thanks for looking

I'm Back!!
Just a quick post to let you know that I am now back home - at least for the time being.
We arrived at Manchester Airport at 6am today for our 8 o'clock flight only to be told to wait in arrivals for an update at 8am. At 8am they told us to wait until 9.45am and then they told us to go upstairs to the Thomas Cook desk. When we got there we were told to go home because the flight had been indefinitely postponed. We would not be going today and they will telephone us when we have to go back to the airport.
By now we should have been in sunny Madeira but instead we are in cold, rainy Yorkshire.
I just hope I don't have to get up at 4.00 in the morning again!!

Friday Sketchers Challenge
Well this is my final card before I go off on holiday - that is, volcano permitting. I keep hearing that some flights have been cancelled and, looking at Manchester Airport tonight, the flights to Munich are all cancelled - but hopefully we will be flying!!
Here is my card for the Friday Sketchers Challenge.

Sorry if the picture is not too good but I had to take it in my room tonight and the light is not too brilliant.
Another cute little bear from Lili of the Valley.
Hopefully this will be me this week with my glass of sangria and my crossword book, soaking up the sun but hopefully not getting burnt this time!
The papers and the card are from Stampin Up, the designer paper is Bella Bleu.
It wasn't until after I had finished it and looked at it properly that I thought I should have used Cream Cardstock and stamped onto cream card. But it is too late now!
Hope you like the card and I will be back in a weeks time.

PS - My husband is just shouting to me - he is watching the news and it says that lots of planes to Spain and Portugal have been grounded. Oh Dear!!

Sketch & Stash Challenge
Looks like I was too late for the last challenge - it is because I am so lazy at taking photos.
Oh well, never mind, I will make sure I am not too late for this one.
This card is for the Sketch & Stash Challenge and I have used my new Nestabilities - they only arrived the other day.
I haven't used this Magnolia stamp before either.
That is all I have to show you at the moment - I don't know whether I will get to make another card before Monday, but I will try.
Thank you to my new Follower - Jules - for following me and for your comments, and thank you to everyone who has left me a comment.

Friday Sketchers
I don't know if I am too late for this challenge or if it is a fortnightly one.

I have had a very busy day doing all my cleaning and gardening ready for going away on Monday. Luckily the weather held out and I managed to get my washing dry.
Here is my card for the Friday Sketchers Challenge.

The stamp is another one from Lili of the Valley - little teddy is so cute isn't he?
I remember a tale about a little teddy and I wonder if Our Kath remembers it too!!
My teddy had got so tatty and kept coming apart at the seams so my mum said she would buy me a new one and have that one "put to sleep". I agreed to it and got a lovely new teddy but then woke up one morning and wanted my old teddy back. Me and Kath put our clothes on over our jim jams and ran on to my grandad's house. I was in tears and Grandad said "what on earth is the matter?" I told him I wanted my teddy back and he said to my mum "give the child her teddy back". She couldn't because she had burnt it.
Here comes the funny part - I was about 11 at the time!!!
Mind you that isn't as bad as the time when I wanted my teddy christening and my mum even asked the vicar if I could have it christened. It still sends me into hysterics when I think about it.
Have to go now - Coronation Street is on.
Back soon

Just Magnolia Challenge.
Good Evening everyone ( or anyone who takes a peek at my blog)
Another quick post I am afraid.
My husband has had me scanning and printing some invoices and it has taken absolutely ages. Why is it that men always think that their jobs are far more important than ours?
I am so very pleased with this card that I have made for the Just Magnolia Challenge.

I love this stamp and I was quite pleased with how the oval border has turned out (although I did have to put the flowers where the pattern didn't quite match up!!)
I am working on another card now (in between trying to do everything else as well!) so I may be back again tomorrow if I manage to get it finished in time.
Take Care.

Here Comes Summer!
Well I don't think so really, do you? (Although I am getting ready for going on holiday on Monday providing the planes haven't all been cancelled.)
That is actually the theme for the Lili of the Valley Challenge so I have done a barbecue. No, not literally, just a picture of a barbecue - and here is my card.
Sorry this is only a quick post but I have lots to do.
Back again tomorrow with another card for you - it is one of my favourites!
